With this blog post, we want to give people from around the world and from different backgrounds the opportunity to tell their personal stories in times of the Corona pandemic. Today's post is from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. Yonas is 35 years old and works in housing construction in this city with an estimated population of three million people. Yonas regularly goes to church, and faith is an important part of his life. But hear for yourself what Yonas has to say against the background of the Corona pandemic:
Because the Corona pandemic has now reached all the countries of the world and is impacting the lives of the majority of the world’s population, we, two students of Cusanus University, are interested in learning about people in other places of the world beyond what the media has covered. The aim is to enter into a socially relevant dialogue at the interface between academic scholarship and society, and to authentically provide different perspectives. With this goal in mind, we want to ask people from different regions of the world to offer their own interpretations, their own narratives of the current situation. Note: The information provided here represents the individual opinions and individual experiences of those persons interviewed.
